E-Cell Supported by –

Taking a revolutionary step in promoting the spirit of Entrepreneurship at the highest level, Vidyapith has established E-cell, supported by State Bank of India under their project called “Centre for Research in MSME and Promotion of Entrepreneurship in Women”. The Centre takes initiatives in promoting research in MSME which is a sector of national importance, the Centre also promotes Entrepreneurship in Women, orienting them and motivating them to see Entrepreneurship as a career option.

Over the past years, the Centre has created a lot of excitement in students starting from school education to higher education, Banasthali’s Alumna and women of nearby villages. The Entrepreneurship Cell under the Centre has more than 700 women members who are routinely exposed to inbound and outbound activities such as Impact Talks, where women entrepreneurs who have created impact through their work visit the campus for sharing their experiences, various workshops and competitions and social immersion activities are been conducted to give right orientation on Entrepreneurship to women. The Centre looks forward to creating an ecosystem to nurture innovation and entrepreneurship and also to create livelihood opportunities for rural women through entrepreneurship.

Some of the initiatives of E-cell throughout the year are:
  • B-plan Contest : Intra & Inter College
  • Impact Talks from real-time Entrepreneurs
  • Conducting various workshops on different aspects of
  • Entrepreneurship Organizing B-Shop for real-time business experience for budding entrepreneurs.
  • Inform students about upcoming Business contests and help them with the same.
  • Developing E-Cells of other women colleges for an inclusive growth.

E-cell, Banasthali Vidyapith doesn’t limit itself to the above-mentioned programs & tries activities according to the requirement.

Dr. Meghadeepa

Dr. Meghadeepa Chakraborty holds a Ph.D. degree in Social Sciences from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. She was Academic Exchange Fellow at Asian Research Centre in London School of Economics and Political Sciences (LSE), London, UK in 2013.  Dr. Meghadeepa has 15 years of experience that includes both the development sector and academia. Her area of specialization is Livelihood, Entrepreneurship, Social Entrepreneurship, Rural Development.

Anita Shou

She takes pride in teaching Entrepreneurship with a vision to orient women to consider Entrepreneurship as a career option. Her area of interests is entrepreneurship education, social enterprise creation and change management. Ms. Anita plays active role in activities of E-Cell and also working on ecosystem development by bringing women colleges under the fold helping them to set up their E-Cells.
